[ If he wasn't... well... Terry wouldn't have ended up being who he is now in a bad way. Let's just put it that way. ]

House of Leaves. It's in English... I picked it up in the bookstore because it was one of the few in that language. And I guess I just wanted to read things in English for once that isn't my own handwriting. There's a quote in here that stands out to me...

"It may be the wrong decision, but it's mine."

[ He says that in Japanese so that Seto can understand it. ]

Mm, that's a pretty powerful quote. It's really relatable as well.

[ Seto doesn't exactly know why he feels like he can connect with that quote so much, but he can completely agree with it. It really is too bad that he forgot about the novel route so he could talk about that. ]

Is there a Japanese copy? Maybe I'll pick it up.

[ Alas... Terry feels like he would have liked to read this back when he was actually 20, still fretting over being separate from Terrence. Terrence doesn't bother him as much, but it's still a nice quote. ]

Yeah, I think there's one in the bookstore.

[ Terry gets a few slaps on the back as Seto laughs. He really does appreciate the thought. ]

How good are you with learning languages? Better than Kido? Though she's pretty good herself...

[ Flashback to August when Kido tried to decipher his notebook pages and one of them was a crumpled up "I like her" written on it. ]

Kido's pretty smart, so she learns things quickly.

[ He is proud of his sister. His brother, though? Hmmmm... ]

I think I'm all right. I had to pick up a little bit of English for one of my part-time jobs, but it's really simple stuff like "hello" and "thank you".

[ He remembers when he saw her working hard with the dictionary and all. She sure worked hard... ]

Sometimes, simple stuff is all you need to know to get by. This book though...

... It's a little complicated, so you should probably read the Japanese version. I don't want to imagine reading this in another language to begin with...

I'll pick up a copy sometime then. I haven't been reading lately as much as I wanted to so it'd be good to get back into it.

[ He's normally too busy with his 203829210 part-time jobs so he can't really sit down and pick up a good book. However, he does want to bond with Terry some more so he'll find time to read through a Japanese copy. ]

I'll practise my English with picture books or something easier, haha.

If I had to learn something, I'd do it with a picture book too.

I'm no good at learning stuff in an academic way...

I'm probably the same way. I never went to school, so I don't know what it's like.

I never went to school to study either. Sometimes, all you gotta do is know the actual important stuff to get by in life.

[ The smile continues to stay on his face. He'd think he'd be wasting so much time in school... ]

Yeah, for sure.

[ Seto thinks that school could have been fun but with his ability... yeah, he tries to stay away from crowds. ]

So, what did you do instead of going to school? Tell me about yourself!

Sometimes I found stuff for people for pay, but most of the time, I stayed inside my friend's house because I was mooching off him, but I made him food and packed lunches, so it was a good deal.

[ Terry played housewife without even knowing he did... ]

[ Those were Seto's exact thoughts so he's going to say them. ]

So you were like a housewife. Kido must be really happy about that.

A housewife for Jace...?

It's too bad Terry never thought of him that way. ]

I was actually afraid that he wouldn't go and get married because I was always in the house. I didn't want to be his shackles or anything... but why would Kido be happy about it? She likes cooking as much as I do.

I'm sure that she'll appreciate that she doesn't need to cook all the time and know that if she left it up to you one night that she would get something edible.

[ Because can Kano cook?? Does Mary know how to make anything other than tea?? Is it just up to Kido and Seto to make meals?? ]

I'd like to think my cooking is pretty good, so it being edible is the last thing she'll probably have to worry about.

[ Terry chuckles a little, but oh. Look at the time. ]
